OWNE 2026, a new fresh approach
You spoke, we listened
Following some really helpful feedback from delegates and exhibitors this year, we are excited to introduce for OWNE 2026 a new one-day conference format, designed to deliver maximum impact in less time.
Our 2026 event which is again being held at the Beacon of Light in Sunderland, will feature two presentation theatres (main stage and supply chain theatre), a large exhibition area, networking tables, and dedicated one-to-one meetings with our industry buyers and VIPs.
Plus, the evening before on Wednesday 11th November from 16.30-19.30 we are bringing “Offshore Wind Drinks” to Sunderland, a format we know works across industry which everyone really enjoys, this will be held in the City Centre (watch this space).
As always NOF and Energi Coast will strive to deliver meaningful engagement before, during, and after the event, keeping the offshore wind momentum in North East England alive.
Focussing in on offshore wind in North East England, our opportunity continues to grow. Following the largest offshore wind auction in Europe to date, and with record capacity awarded in AR7 (8.4 GW) this signals an acceleration of projects leading to supply opportunities. Covering both fixed bottom developments (Around 8.2 GW) and circa 200 MW of floating offshore wind, at NOF and Energi Coast we are excited for the future of the industry in this region, especially bearing in mind our central geography location on the East Coast making us an ideal choice for North Sea projects.
One of our Energi Coast Cluster Developers, RWE emerged as the dominant winner, securing about 6.9 GW of capacity in this allocation round, this included the development of Dogger Bank South – East & West ( circa 3.0 GW), Norfolk Vanguard East and West plus Awel y Môr.
As North East England plans to move further into deeper waters for offshore wind projects, we expect the supply chain will benefit from an industry which is on the move.
